Cincinnati VA Eye Clinic to Relocate to Corporex’s Baldwin 500 Building to Increase Footprint and Enhance Accessibility

New lease increases space to 24,706 sq ft, upgrades facilities and supports expanded services for Veterans across the region
COVINGTON, Ky. (May 8, 2025) – Corporex, a privately held investment and development firm based in Covington, Ky., is pleased to announce that the Cincinnati VA Eye Clinic will be moving into the Baldwin 500 building following completion of an extensive space build out. The specialized outpatient facility, which provides comprehensive eye care services to U.S. military Veterans, has signed a new long-term lease, marking a major step forward in expanding services and enhancing care.
Baldwin 500, strategically situated just two miles from the VA’s main hospital in Clifton, places its Cincinnati VA Eye Clinic team close to the heart of operations while providing modern infrastructure and convenience. Located at 2090 Florence Avenue in Cincinnati, Baldwin 500 is adjacent to Springhill Suites and Eden Park, at the Reading Road exit off I-71, within the Baldwin campus originally developed by Corporex.
The move will give the clinic significantly more space and efficient layout, ultimately delivering a better experience for both patients and staff. Currently occupying around 13,000 square feet across two floors, the Cincinnati VA Eye Clinic will consolidate operations into a single, 24,706 square-foot floor inside the Baldwin 500 building. This modern, purposely built space will significantly increase the number of exam lanes and streamline operations across the clinic.
“The opportunity to grow into one expansive, state-of-the-art space is a game changer”, said Dr. E. Radhika Ramenaden, Eye Service Chief. “Our VA team has worked very collaboratively with the Corporex team to create a space tailored to our workflows and Veterans’ needs. It will allow us to serve more patients, more efficiently, with high quality care.”
Success in the healthcare sector is rooted in Corporex’s unique approach to tenant buildouts and extensive real estate portfolio. By working closely with healthcare providers, architects and consultants, Corporex delivers customized solutions tailored to each client’s specific needs. Over the years, the Baldwin 500 building has undergone significant upgrades to the infrastructure to accommodate many of its current healthcare and life sciences clients, making it a perfect solution for the Cincinnati VA Eye Clinic. A few of these enhancements for specific clients in the building include the addition of an ADA-compliant ramp and entrance, custom-built elevator, security enhancements, and new backup generators to help power critical medical equipment.
“We are proud to support the Cincinnati VA Eye Clinic in this next chapter,” said Brett Blackwell, president and COO of Corporex. “Providing a space that meets the clinic’s growing needs and supports its mission to serve Veterans aligns perfectly with our commitment to building environments that empower organizations to thrive. Our deep history of specialized expertise in healthcare buildouts and improvements made it the perfect union.”
Through their commitment to quality, compliance and innovation, Corporex has helped healthcare providers like St. Elizabeth, CTI and LifeSciKY create spaces that enhance patient care, provide unique space for innovation, improve operational efficiency and support long-term growth. Adding the Cincinnati VA Eye Clinic to this mix of tenants was a natural extension of Corporex’s mission – further strengthening its impact on the region’s healthcare landscape and reaffirming its role as a trusted partner in building environments that prioritize care, innovation and community well-being.
To ensure a smooth transition for both patients and staff, Corporex has provided the clinic with a detailed, animated rendering of select spaces in the building as part of ‘The Corporex Experience.’ This tool allows them to announce the move to their staff and patients while helping those they serve become familiar with the space well ahead of the transition.
