Five Seasons and Cincinnati Marlins Team Up to fight Cancer with Swim Across America Event

Second annual event hosted by family sports club, swim team and partnership with Kendra Scott Jewelry to support cancer research
Cincinnati (Jun 29, 2022)

This July, members of the Cincinnati Marlins competitive swim program and Five Seasons Family Sports Club are going for gold in the fight against cancer. The organizations will host events and partner with Kendra Scott to raise money and awareness for Swim Across America. This nonprofit is dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment by hosting charity swims and donating proceeds to area hospitals.

“Cancer impacts everyone and that’s why Five Seasons wanted to host this event for the second year in a row,” said Nancy Conard, Vice President of Operations at Five Seasons Sports Clubs. “Swim Across America has a network of the nation’s best doctors and researchers pioneering new cures and treatments. By partnering with the organization and the Cincinnati Marlins for our ‘Seasons Swims Against Cancer’ event, we hope to make waves in the fight against cancer by raising money to help in the fight to prevent and treat this terrible disease.”

From 9-11:30 a.m. on July 9, the Five Seasons Family Sports Club located at 11790 Snider Rd. in Cincinnati will host its second annual “Seasons Swim Against Cancer” in partnership with the Cincinnati Marlins. The event will feature prizes, live music, relays, floats and swimmers, including those from the Cincinnati Marlins, to raise money that will benefit cancer prevention, treatment, research and clinical trials at Swim Across America labs.

Swimmers will also be able to use the pools at Five Seasons’ Crestview Hills, Ky., Dayton, Ohio, and Burr Ridge, Ill., to swim laps to raise funds. As a thank you from the club for participation in the fundraiser, Five Seasons invites all Swim Across America participants to enjoy facilities and amenities for the remainder of the day. Individual participants and teams are encouraged to raise money to support their swim ahead of the event. If the public would like to support the cause but does not want to swim, we encourage them to donate to a team here.

Additionally, Kendra Scott Jewelry has partnered with the Cincinnati Marlins and Five Seasons Family Sports Club to help fundraise for their “Seasons Swims Against Cancer” event. Between July 1-3, Kendra Scott will donate 20% of individual online jewelry purchases to support the Cincinnati Marlins’ fundraising efforts when people use the code GIVEBACK-CCTTT. Kendra Scott also designed a unique necklace for this event that people can purchase to represent one’s role in the fight against cancer.

“The Cincinnati Marlins competitive swim team is honored and excited to team up with Five Seasons Family Sports Club,” said Brad Isham, Coach, Cincinnati Marlins of the Cincinnati Marlins. “We’ll also thrilled to introduce a new partnership with Kendra Scott Jewelry to raise additional funds to help further the mission of Swim Across America.”

The Kendra Scott store in the Kenwood Towne Center, located at 7875 Montgomery Rd, Suite 2413 Cincinnati, OH 45236, will also host an in-store event from 1- 4 p.m., July 2. People can shop, enjoy refreshments, and donate to Five Seasons and Cincinnati Marlins efforts to raise money for Swim Across America during the event.
