William P. Butler

Mr. Butler is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to Corporex Companies, LLC.

Since 1965, Mr. Butler has been the driving force behind the growth of the Corporex Companies, from a one-man construction shop to diversified real estate company having built over $8 billion in facilities over 27 states. From its humble beginnings as the W.P. Butler Construction Company, Corporex has grown into a diversified, vertically integrated real estate firm comprising Corporex Development and Construction Management, Commonwealth Hotels, Five Seasons Sports Clubs, Corporex Realty and Investment and Corporex Capital. Additionally, Mr. Butler sponsored the formation of Eagle Hospitality Properties Trust, a New York Stock Exchange traded entity, where he was Chairman of the Board from inception in 2004 through its sale in 2007 at a 34% gain.

Mr. Butler is dedicated to community service and fiduciary responsibility to shareholders. He founded the Butler Foundation and Life Learning Center, which provide community services in Greater Cincinnati. In addition, he currently serves or has served on the boards of United Way of Greater Cincinnati, the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Thomas More University, The Lindner Center of Hope, the Metropolitan Club, the Catalytic Development Funding Corporation of Northern Kentucky, Bexion Pharmaceuticals, the OneNKY Alliance, State of Kentucky, Greater Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky Chambers of Commerce at various times. He is a multi-level member of United Way’s Million Dollar Roundtable, the Alexis de Tocqueville Society and the Commercial Club of Cincinnati.

Mr. Butler and Corporex have been actively involved in the acquisition, development, construction, financing and management of major real estate properties for over 59 years. Mr. Butler is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati/Ohio College of Applied Science in engineering.
