Brett Blackwell serves as President of Corporex Companies. In this role, Brett leads the organization’s strategic direction and operations, guiding its continued evolution into a fully integrated platform that delivers value across the entire real estate and investment lifecycle.
With more than 20 years of financial and operational leadership experience, Brett is focused on positioning Corporex for long-term, sustainable growth. Under his leadership, the company has expanded beyond traditional real estate development, investing in businesses where operational expertise and strategic insight drive lasting value. At the same time, Corporex has strengthened its core platform with the introduction of Tenant Finish and Real Estate Management services, an extension of decades of hands-on work alongside tenants that provides clients with comprehensive, end-to-end solutions from initial concept through ongoing asset performance.
Today, Corporex manages more than $1 billion in assets and has developed over 33 million square feet across the United States. The company continues to grow its national footprint while maintaining a disciplined, ownership-driven approach to development, operations, and long-term asset performance.
In addition to its real estate platform, the Corporex family of companies includes Kings Hammer, Alpine Master Builders, and Commonwealth Hotels, further reflecting the organization’s diversified investment strategy and commitment to operational excellence across multiple sectors.

Brett is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and has been actively engaged in the community, including serving on the Kentucky State Police Foundation Board after more than 14 years with the Freestore Foodbank.
