Vice President of Capital

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary role is networking with business owners, developers, operators, and other centers of influence to identify opportunities where Corporex can deploy capital in the form of Loans, Preferred Equity, and common equity investments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Develop and execute capital deployment strategies to support the company’s investment and growth objectives, including real estate acquisitions, development projects, and other investment opportunities.
  • Lead the sourcing, structuring, and negotiation of equity and debt financing, ensuring optimal capital structure and alignment with company goals.
  • Manage relationships with existing capital partners, providing regular updates, performance reports, and investment insights.
  • Identify and cultivate new investor relationshipsincluding institutions, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals, with the goal of expanding the company’s contact capital base.
  • Maintain and grow an active network of contacts across the investment, lending, and real estate communities to increase deal flow and partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including development, finance, legal, and senior leadership to align capital strategies with operational goals.
  • Conduct financial analysis and market research to assess risks, returns, and strategic fit for potential investments.
  • Represent the company at industry events and investor meetings, effectively communicating its vision, track record, and opportunities.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements related to capital transactions and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in capital sourcing, reporting, investor communications, and deployment efficiency.

 

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • A proven track record of raising capital from high-net-worth individuals and family offices (not institutional investors).
  • At least 10 years of experience in real estate, with a total of 15+ years in business roles preferred.
  • Experience in identifying, negotiating, and closing debt and/or equity transactions.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required; advanced credentials like an MBA or CFA are a plus.
  • Strong sales skills with a natural ability to network, cold call, and build lasting relationships.
  • Prior experience working in a privately held real estate development or construction-focused company is highly valued.
  • A solid grasp of investment analysis, financial modeling, and real estate underwriting.
  • High energy, self-motivation, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
