Leasing Manager

Covington, KY

POSITION SUMMARY: This position will be expected to significantly drive additional growth within the company’s Commercial Office, Retail, Land & Development portfolio and will require high energy and impeccable communication, public speaking, and presentation skills. This is a growth position requiring an immediate ability to work autonomously, reporting to the Director of Leasing & Sales.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Director of Leasing & Sales to formulate and implement strategic leasing and marketing plans for portfolio of office assets
  • Conduct and manage market analysis and competitive property surveys for portfolio
  • Identify, qualify, and contact prospective office lease tenants.
  • Schedule and conduct onsite professional sales presentations.
  • Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants that comply with property and corporate level strategy and objectives
  • Prepare financial analysis of proposed leases and of leasehold obligations, including comparisons to approved budgets
  • Collaborate with internal & legal counsel on the negotiation of lease contracts and lease amendments
  • Pursue and secure annually targeted square footage of leasing transactions
  • Complete required real estate specific education and certifications

 

WHAT ATTRIBUTES ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • 1-3 or more years of commercial real estate experience in lease analysis, sales, and/or negotiation.
  • Strong negotiation skills and negotiating experience a must.
  • Ability to formulate and negotiate real estate leases/contracts
  • Ability to think strategically, formulate and implement action plans and see them through.
  • Goal oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, trouble shoot, manage time effectively and be a self-starter.
  • Knowledge of economics and financial analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of real estate leases and purchase and sale agreements is a plus.
  • Assertive; decisive; energetic; strong constitution.
  • Manage and Develop relationships with company decision makers, economic development leaders, and brokers alike
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
