WILLIAM P. BUTLER
Mr. Butler is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to Corporex Companies, LLC. Since 1965, Mr. Butler has been the driving force behind the growth of the Corporex Companies, from a one-man construction shop to diversified real estate company with more than $1 billion of real estate assets. From its humble beginnings as the W.P. Butler Construction Company, Corporex has grown into a diversified, vertically-integrated real estate firm comprising Corporex Development and Construction Management, Commonwealth Hotels, Five Seasons Sports Clubs, Corporex Realty and Investment and Corporex Capital. Additionally, Mr. Butler sponsored the formation of Eagle Hospitality Properties Trust where he was Chairman of the Board from inception in 2004 through its sale in 2007. Mr. Butler is dedicated to community service and fiduciary responsibility to shareholders. He founded The Butler Foundation and Life Learning Center, which provide community services in Greater Cincinnati. Presently, he serves as a Trustee/Board member for United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Lindner Center of HOPE, Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Metropolitan Club, the Catalytic Development Funding Corporation of Northern Kentucky, The Butler Foundation, and Advisory Board of Be-Concerned. Mr. Butler has been actively involved in the acquisition, development, construction and financing of major real estate properties for over 55 years. Mr. Butler is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.
DANIEL R. SINK
Dan joined Corporex in 2019 as CEO. Prior to joining the Company, he spent almost 19 years as EVP and CFO of an Indianapolis-based real estate company. During his tenure as CFO, the Company successfully completed an initial public offering in 2004, timely closed on a $2 billion merger, and received investment grade ratings from Moody’s and S & P. He was one of three company officers that reviewed and approved all projects. His work experience also includes 11 years of public accounting with a specialization in construction/real estate tax. Mr. Sink serves on the Board of Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana and previously served on the Boards for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and School on Wheels. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a BS in Accounting.
THOMAS E. BANTA
Mr. Banta is Managing Director of both Corporex Companies, LLC and Corporex Realty & Investment, LLC. For nearly 34 years, Mr. Banta has been focused on the Company’s commercial real estate development, property management, and investment management. Through his tenure with Corporex, the Company has built over 18 million square feet of commercial real estate including more than 40 hotels, 24 office buildings and six business parks. Mr. Banta serves on the Board of Directors for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce. Previously, Mr. Banta served as a board member for Eagle Hospitality Properties Trust, an NYSE publicly traded hospitality REIT, from the time of inception until August 2007 when the REIT was sold in a market-based transaction. Mr. Banta is a graduate of Indiana University with a dual degree in finance and real estate administration.
DANIEL T. FAY
Mr. Fay is Chairman and Co-founder of Commonwealth Hotels. With over 40 years of hands-on experience in opening, acquiring, managing, re-positioning, renovating and re-branding full-service and select service hotels, Mr. Fay provides unparalleled operational insight. During his career, Mr. Fay has managed in excess of 7,000 hotel rooms for a variety of owners, including privately-held and publicly-traded companies. Mr. Fay has a demonstrated ability to exceed gross operating profit margins relative to industry averages, through intense focus on sales & marketing, food & beverage and financial controls. Mr. Fay is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
DANIEL W. DANIELE
Mr. Daniele is the Senior Vice President-Asset Management. With over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mr. Daniele has demonstrated abilities in hotel acquisitions, development, dispositions, strategic planning, operations, brand management and franchising and asset management. Prior to joining Corporex, Mr. Daniele was President of Baymont Franchises until the sale of the company. He has been a member of the Corporex management team since March 2005. Previously, he held senior positions in Ernst & Young, MOA Hospitality, and Laventhol & Horwath.
Mr. Daniele served on the Board of Directors of publicly-traded Studio Plus Hotels until it was acquired in 1997 by Extended Stay America. Mr. Daniele has extraordinary knowledge of the hospitality industry, with regard to property locations, transactions and industry trends. In addition to his role with sourcing acquisition opportunities, Mr. Daniele monitors activity in the nation’s top 50 hospitality markets and provides critical market research for asset acquisitions and dispositions.
Mr. Daniele received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University, College of Business.
NICHOLAS J. HEEKIN
Mr. Heekin is Managing Director of Corporex Capital. Mr. Heekin joined Corporex in 2007 as a finance associate. Since that time, he has played a central role in all major financing transactions and asset dispositions within the Company. With over 15 years of experience in real estate development and finance, he currently leads all Corporex Capital transactions. Mr. Heekin has been involved in over $2.3 billion of commercial real estate transactions including hotel, condo, industrial, office, land, and high-end sports clubs. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Commonwealth Hotels and oversees all corporate hospitality assets. Mr. Heekin is a graduate of University of Cincinnati.
