Press Release

In Memoriam of Sue Butler

Covington, Kentucky (Jul 5, 2023)

The Corporex family of organizations are deeply saddened at the passing of Sue Butler, beloved wife, mother, friend and faithful supporter of our Chairman, also the entire regional community. We extend our deepest condolences to our founder, Bill Butler, and his family, at this time.

Sue was a pillar in the community and leaves a lasting impact through her many contributions. She and her husband, Bill, co-founded The Butler Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing for people who need assistance, especially scholarships for youth at all levels of education.  She served on the board of the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens and The Carnegie in Covington, where she was an active member of the Education Committee.

Over the years, Sue volunteered on committees that helped the St. Elizabeth Medical Center Foundation raise funds for its in-patient Hospice Center and was a founding board member of Northern Kentucky Harvest, a nonprofit established in 1999 to feed and clothe those in need.

Moreover she served as a listener, a counsel to many especially on matters of faith and family.

To recognize her charitable impact on the region, The Butler Foundation board has created The Sue (Lutz) Butler Faith & Family Award in her honor. Sue’s influence on Northern Kentucky and the larger Cincinnati region is significant and she will be missed deeply by those she has touched.  Obituary here.
