The Company
Corporex was founded as The William P. Butler Construction Company in 1965. Over its 44 year history, the company has evolved and diversified. Today, Corporex creates wealth for its investors, customers, employees, and communities through a myriad of real estate based development and investment activities.
Since its inception, Corporex has developed over 18 million square feet of Class A office and industrial space. Corporex and its affiliates have built, purchased, or managed over 32 hotels including many properties for Marriott and Hilton. Corporex is the only US developer to win 2 CNBC global property awards in the same year, one for The Ascent at Roeblings Bridge named best high- rise in the Americas, the other for the Denver Art Museum Residences named best development in the Americas. Beyond its own success, Corporex has been able to leverage its resources to launch successful independent ventures. These ventures include Commonwealth Hotels, Inc. and Eagle Hospitality Properties Trust, Inc.
The company's success is driven by its sustained ability to be visionary in selecting sites and projects that are at the forefront of an area's growth cycle. This is exemplified not only by RiverCenter in Covington but by areas such as Corporex's 650-acre master planned community, CirclePort Business Park, near the burgeoning Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Corporex is known for pioneering the way in which business is done. The company was the first to combine architecture, engineering, and construction into one guaranteed design/build service on an open-book basis. The company also introduced the first year-round family sports club - Five Seasons Sports Clubs.
Corporex is dedicated to positively impacting the communities in which it is involved. The company has been a driving force behind regional economic development activities in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati, including Northern Kentucky Quest and The Metropolitan Growth Alliance. The company supports numerous local and national charities both monetarily and through the volunteerism of its employees.
